Barbora Dzuráková (1984, Slovakia)
After my graduation from Trier University of Applied Sciences in Germany at Gemstone and Jewellery Department in 2012 I started to work as an assistant of Estela Saez in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
In 2014 (after 2 years working as studio assistant) I opened my studio in Steenenkamer (The Netherlands) where I live. I make jewellery after my daily work is finished. I use sterling silver – and gold on request. Simplicity of changes and a possibilities of nature inspires me. I believe any simple form can be beautiful. I like to think that every woman who wear my jewellery believe in an artisanal craftsmanship and its dignity.
Since 2016 I work in a local biological greenhouse. It’s a precise work and because I grew up in a family with vegetable garden of 1100 m2- it seems something very natural to do. I enjoy working with plants. It is fascinating. Doing a good job gives me an energy, whatever it is about.
Barbora Dzuráková took for 4 years a part ( since 2012) in Plateaus Jewellery Project: P. C. Domingues, K. Dettar, E. Tarín, that has shown her jewellery in Spain. Only shortly after exhibiting in Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Netherlands and USA.
