Barbora Dzuráková studied glass design at Academy of Fine Arts and Design (AFAD) in Bratislava in Slovakia, as well as in the department of Metal and Jewel. Switching a direction in an education emphasized in her work an unique handcrafted quality. Jewellery made during her study relate to traditional jewellery making. Each of them combine several materials and often challange a wearer by its size.

After her graduation from Trier University of Applied Sciences in Germany (Gemstone and Jewellery Department) in 2012 Dzuráková started to work as an assistant of Estela Saez in Amsterdam in Netherlands.

For my jewellery I received in 2006 and 2008 Art Mention by Slovak Craft Council. In 2011 was my Graduation work awarded with a scholarsphip for Young Professionals in Slovakia. Five months later I did follow the internship at Jewellery Studio of Estela Saez in Amsterdam. I ‘ve been working for her as studio assistant for 2 years.

In 2014 I opened my jewellery studio in Steenenkamer where do I live and have a garden. Since 2017 I work in a local biological greenhouse. It’s a precise work and because a I grew up in a family with vegetable garden of 1100 m2- it seems something very natural to do. I enjoy working with plants.

Ever since is nature very present in my jewellery too.

I like to think that every woman who wear my jewellery believe in an artisanal craftsmanship and its dignity.

Barbora Dzuráková took for 4 years a part ( since 2012) in Plateaus Jewellery Project: P. C. Domingues, K. Dettar, E. Tarín, that has shown her jewellery in Spain. Only shortly after exhibiting in Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Netherlands and USA.
